During the operation of a CNC lathe, signal transmission needs to be both precise and fast, so many people want to streamline the basic process of signal transmission. However, this is not correct. The signal transmission of a CNC lathe is like the startup operation of an electronic computer, which requires certain rules and processes. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain the seven basic processes of signal transmission for CNC lathes.
1. Instruction issuance: CNC calculates the trajectory and speed that the X-axis needs to move based on the machining program.
2. Bus transmission: CNC sends digitized position command packets to the X-axis servo drive through the EtherCAT bus.
3. Drive and Execution: The servo drive interprets instructions and drives the servo motor to rotate.
4. Position feedback: The absolute value encoder installed at the rear end of the motor transmits the precise angular position of the motor in real-time to the servo driver through the EnDat protocol.
5. Closed loop regulation: The servo drive compares the command position and feedback position, performs PID regulation, and ensures that the motor accurately reaches the target.
6. Status reporting: The driver feeds back actual position, current, alarm status, and other information to the CNC through the same EtherCAT bus.
7. I/O linkage: If necessary, the PLC inside the CNC will control the corresponding solenoid valves, indicator lights, and other I/O devices to cooperate through the PROFINET bus.
